Winter collection: five designs to brighten the darkest days of the year

Winter collection by Květiny M. Huszárová: five designs to brighten the darkest days of the year

Winter does not have to be only about grey streets and early sunsets. The right bouquet or flower box can completely change the atmosphere of your home, office or festive table. For this season, Květiny M. Huszárová has created a curated winter collection – three bouquets and two flower boxes in soft pink, cream and snow-white tones, enriched with pine, grasses and frosted branches.

The result is a set of arrangements that feel luxurious yet natural. They are perfect for winter birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas, winter weddings or simply as a “just because” gift.

Two winter flower boxes: when you want your gift to impress at first sight

Winter pink flower box with ranunculus and lisianthus

This box is built on gentle pink and cream shades. Ranunculus and lisianthus are among the most elegant cut flowers – they have full, layered heads, keep their shape well and, combined with gypsophila and fine grasses, create a beautifully fluffy effect.

It is the ideal choice for romantic souls or whenever you want to give something truly special yet subtle: no loud colours, just visual calm and a clear feeling of care.

Winter white flower box with roses and cotton

The second box focuses on pure white and cream tones – roses, lisianthus, small santini chrysanthemums and soft cotton, complemented by eucalyptus and decorative branches, evoke a snow-covered landscape.

This design works perfectly as a representative gift (for a business partner, hotel or reception area) as well as a calm winter decoration for your home. White is extremely versatile – it fits both into minimalist modern interiors and more traditional spaces.

Three winter bouquets: from soft romance to forest atmosphere

Winter bouquet with ranunculus and anemones

The combination of ranunculus and anemones in pink and cream shades is a textbook example of a romantic winter bouquet. Finished with pink gypsophila and white frosted branches, it looks delicate yet rich.

It is ideal wherever you want to emphasise tenderness – as a gift for a partner, mum, new parents or as a special thank-you for a maid of honour at a winter wedding.

Winter bouquet with pine, matthiola and nerine

This bouquet is made for those who love nature-inspired, slightly wild designs. Tall matthiola stems, exotic-looking nerine, panicum grass and pine branches create an airy structure that brings to mind a walk through a winter forest.

It is a great option for anyone who appreciates more original floristry, less common flower varieties and a lighter style that looks best in a taller vase.

Winter bouquet with anthuriums and santini

The last of the three bouquets uses white anthuriums, round santini heads and delicate nerine, finished with golden decorative elements. The overall effect is distinctly festive – ideal for Christmas, company events or any occasion where you want to arrive with something truly exceptional.

The golden accents add a luxurious feel, while the palette stays in soft white and pink, so the bouquet never looks overdone.

Why winter flowers work so well

We spend more time indoors in the winter – at home, in the office, in cafés. That is exactly why it makes sense to bring in a calm, living element that softens and warms up the space without overwhelming it.

  • Pastel and white tones fit most interiors and do not clash with furniture or Christmas décor.

  • Pine, grasses and frosted branches give the arrangements a distinctly winter character without making them feel “too Christmassy”, so you can comfortably give them throughout December, January and February.

  • The chosen flowers (ranunculus, lisianthus, roses, santini, pine and others) have excellent vase life when cared for properly, so the recipient will enjoy them for more than just a few days.

How to care for winter flowers

To keep your bouquet or flower box fresh for as long as possible, we recommend:

  • placing it away from direct heat sources (radiator, fireplace, sunny window),

  • for bouquets, regularly changing the water and trimming stems by 0.5–1 cm with a sharp knife,

  • for flower boxes, topping up water into the floral foam in small amounts,

  • keeping arrangements out of strong draughts or right behind doors where temperature changes are extreme.
